Lora Thompson Learning grew from a love of teaching, storytelling, and music—and the belief that young children learn best when they're actively engaged in the experience.

Created by former elementary educator Lora Thompson, the resources here bring together children's stories, original music, movement, and hands-on learning designed especially for young learners.

From the Classroom to Lora Thompson Learning

Created by a teacher who knows what works with young children.

Before creating Lora Thompson Learning, I spent 15 years teaching children in elementary classrooms, including PreK, kindergarten, and the primary grades. Those years shaped the way I approach everything I create today.

I believe learning for young children should be active, memorable, and joyful. Stories invite them in. Music helps ideas stick. Movement keeps them engaged. And thoughtfully designed activities give them opportunities to practice what they're learning.

That's the approach behind Lora Thompson Learning—resources created with both the child and the teacher in mind.
